The Kerala Co-operative Services Examination is held every year to select candidates to various categories of posts whenever the requisition of posts is notified by the concerned societies. The examination is conducted by the Kerala Co-operative services examination board. The board ensures the smooth conduct of the examination at the various centers. A concerned society or societies will inform about the impending vacancy of posts to the board. The board would invite applications for the posts by notification in two widely circulated vernacular dailies.
The notification would include the vacancies, eligibility and qualifications details required for the post which includes age, reservation, education, etc. once the applications are processed by the board, a list of applicants is drawn up who will be eligible to appear for the written test. Once the written test is conducted, the eligible candidates will be called for an interview to be conducted by the committee of the society. The maximum marks for the written exam are 80 and those who secure 40% are eligible for the interview. The maximum marks for the interview stand at 15 and the minimum marks secured should be above 3. A candidate belonging to the district where the society operates will get an additional 5 marks as grace marks.
Once the marking is done, the committee will prepare a ranking list of the candidates. The committee will make all the appointments from this list of eligible candidates. The list is valid for two years from the date of publication.
