When is School Reopening in Tamil Nadu 2020:
The Tamil Nadu School Education Department has released a notification regarding the reopening of schools in Tamil Nadu 2020. The schools affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Schools Examination Board has closed for a winter break of almost 11 days. The Tamil Nadu Schools Examinations for students of all classes closed after the half-yearly exams on the 23rd of December 2019.
As a result of the rural local body elections that were to be held on the 2nd of January 2020, the schools will now be reopening on the 4th of January 2020. Keeping in an account that the counting of votes might go beyond the midnight of 2nd January 2020, the chairperson of the Tamil Nadu Education Board has released a notification stating that the schools would be reopening on the 4th January 2020. The schools were previously scheduled to reopen on the 3rd January 2020 after the Christmas, New Year and a half-yearly break. The teacher’s organizations will be involved in the election process which is on a ballot basis. The physical counting of the ballots will keep the teacher’s occupied in the process.
The government and government-aided schools are scheduled to open on the 4th of January 2020 instead of 3rd January 2020. The release of this notification does not affect the self-financing private schools, matric schools, and CBSE schools. They are to reopen on 4th January 2020 or 6th January 2020 as per their academic curriculum. Some private schools had announced that they would be opening on the 2nd of January 2020, they will be opening as per their schedule.
The notification for all government and government-aided schools was released on the 30th December 2019, putting to rest the big question as to when is a school reopening in Tamil Nadu 2020?
