UGEE Exam Pattern:

The International Institute of Information Technology popularly referred to as IIIT is situated in Hyderabad. IIITH conducts a national level entrance exam to its various undergraduate courses. The UGEE exam pattern will help candidates prepare for the exam in a methodical manner.

Date of start of registration of application: 6th February 2020

Last date to submit completed application: 27th April 2020

Date of UGEE exam: 24th June 2020

Application fee:

  • All candidates: 2000/-
  • The application fee can be paid online through credit or debit cards or other net banking options.

UGEE is conducted for admission to the following courses:

  • B.Tech. – M.S. (Computer Science and Engineering) (Research)
  • B.Tech. – M.S. (Electronics and Communication) (Research)
  • B.Tech. (Computer Science) – M.S. (Computational Natural Sciences) (Research)
  • B.Tech. (Computer Science) – M.S. (Computational Linguistics) (Research).

Eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates who have passed class 12th from a recognized board.
  • Candidate appearing for final exams of class 12th are also eligible for the UGEE.
  • The candidate must have secured at least 60% aggregate marks with Maths, Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects.

The UGEE exam consists of 2 phases. These include the following:

  • Written test
  • Personality test/ interview

UGEE Exam pattern:

  • The UGEE exam is a computer based online exam.
  • The exam consists of multiple choice objective questions.
  • The UGEE exam comprises of 2 sections, these include the following:
  • Subject Proficiency Test (SUPR)
  • Research Aptitude Test (REAP)
  • The exam questions are based on class 11th and 12th Physics and Mathematics.
  • The total duration of the exam is 3 hours/ 180 minutes.
  • The duration of the SUPR exam is 1 hour/ 60 minutes while the REAP exam is of 2 hours/ 120 minutes.
  • The medium of the exam is English.
