SSC CPO Syllabus And Exam:

The Combined Police Organization is conducted for recruitment of Sub Inspector (SI) and Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) in the Delhi Police, CISF and Central Armed Police Force (CAPF). The Staff Selection Commission is responsible for conducting the SSC CPO exam. The SSC CPO syllabus and exam pattern are necessary for methodical preparation of the exam.

Date of start of registration of application: 17th June 2020

Last date to submit completed application: 16th July 2020 till 1130 pm

Date of paper 1 exam: 29th September till 1st October and 5th October 2020

Date of paper 2 exam: 1st March 2021

Application fee:

  • SC/ ST/ ESM/ Female candidates: Exempted from any application fee
  • General and other candidates: 100/-
  • The application fee can be paid offline through a bank challan.
  • The application fee can be paid online through credit or debit card or other net banking options.

The SSC CPO exam consists of 4 stages which include the following:

  • Paper 1
  • PET/ PST
  • Paper 2
  • Medical exam

SSC CPO exam pattern:

Paper 1:

  • The SSC CPO paper 1 is a computer based online examination.
  • The exam consists of multiple choice objective questions.
  • The exam consists of 4 sections which include the following:
  • Part 1: General Intelligence and Reasoning
  • Part 2: General Knowledge and awareness
  • Part 3: Quantitative Aptitude
  • Part 4: English Comprehension
  • The medium of the exam is Hindi/ English for Part 1, 2 and 3, while Part 4 is in English only.
  • The total duration of the exam is 2 hours/ 120 minutes.
  • The total number of questions asked are 200.
  • The total weightage of the exam is 200 marks.
  • The marking scheme is as follows:
  • Correct answer: + 1 mark
  • Incorrect answer: – 0.25 marks will be deducted

  • The marking scheme is as follows:
  • Correct answer: + 1 mark
  • Incorrect answer: – 0.25 marks will be deducted
