Scholarships for Engineering Students in India.

If you are a science lover and wish to pursue engineering as a career after your school years, you must have every knowledge about the course. Engineering is a hard course, And the yearly fees for doing engineering makes it even harder. Where government colleges in the country are considered to be the better for studies the fees even in the government-funded colleges is no less. The yearly fees lie between ₹ 6 lacs to ₹ 20 lacs. Undoubtedly, the amount for studying engineering is very high. That’s here the scholarships plays a vital role for the students.

For the student with dreams to achieve high, the government even the private institution provides the student with the ample number of scholarships.  Special scholarships are also provided to the girl students in order to promote education for the girls in the country. It is a great initiative by the government of India and the private institution to help the girl child study and succeed in life.

Scholarships

 

The various scholarships that are available in India are as follows. It includes government funded, privately funded and especially for girls scholarships.

  1. Post Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities is provided by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India. The application period for the same is from July to September.
  2. Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses CS (Minorities) is provided by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India. The application period is from July to September.
  3. Scholarships for Top Class Education for Students with Disabilities is provided by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. The application period is from July to October.
  4. Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme for Central Armed Police Forces and Assam Rifles is provided by the Welfare and Rehabilitation Board, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The application period is from July to October.
  5. Post Matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities is provided by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. The application period is from July to October.
  6. Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students is provided by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The application period is from July to October.
  7. Financial Assistance for Education of the Wards of Beedi/Cine/IOMC/LSDM Workers – Post-Matric Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, July to October.
  8. N. Bose Scholars Program is provided by the SERB, DST (Govt. of India), IUSSTF & WINStep Forward. The application period is from September to October.
  9. Ramanujan Fellowship (Science and Engineering Research Board) is provided by the Science & Engineering Research Board. The application period Runs throughout the year.
  10. PRERANA Post Matric Scholarship for ST/SC/OBC/SEBC/EBC Communities is provided by Government of Odisha. The application period is from July to October.

  11. Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Minorities, West Bengal is provided by the Government of West Bengal. The application period is from July to September.
  12. Suvarna Jubilee Merit Scholarship, Kerala is provided by the Government of Kerala. The application period is from June to August.
  13. Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Admission Test (SAAT) Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University, March to April.
  14. SRM University Scholarships is provided by SRM University. The application is available from February to March,
  15. GITAM Admission Test (GAT) Is provided by the GITAM University. The application is available from February to March.
  16. All India Youth Scholarship Entrance Examination (AIYSEE) is provided by the All India Youth Scholarship Entrance Examination (AIYSEE). The application form is available from December to February.
  17. P. Birla Education Foundation Scholarship is provided by the G.P. Birla Educational Foundation. The application form is available from June to July.
  18. Nirankari Rajmata Scholarship Scheme Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation, July to September.
  19. Adobe India Women-in-Technology Scholarship is provided by Adobe-India. The application form is available from July to October.
  20. Fair and Lovely Foundation Scholarship is provided by the Fair and Lovely Foundation. The application form is available from August to October.
  21. L’Oréal India For Young Women in Science Scholarship is provided by L’Oréal India. The application form is available from May to July.
  22. Tata Housing Scholarships for Meritorious Girl Students is provided by the Tata Housing. The form is available from February to March.
  23. Indo-U.S. Fellowship for Women in STEMM is provided by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India and Indo-U.S. Science & Technology Forum (IUSSTF). The form is available from January to February.
