SBI Clerk Mains Exam:

The State Bank of India is the largest public sector bank in the country. With branches in every district the State Bank of India boasts of the widest network in the country. The State Bank of India has released a notification regarding more than 8000 vacancies for clerical posts. The selection procedure includes a preliminary examination and a main exam followed by an interview. The SBI clerk mains exam pattern will come to the aid of shortlisted candidates who have successfully cleared the preliminary exam.

Date of start of registration of application: 3rd January 2020

Last date to submit completed application: 26th January 2020

Date of preliminary examination: 22nd and 29th February, 1st and 8th March 2020

Date of mains examination: The exam date for year 2020 has been postponed till further notice.

  • The SBI Clerk main exam is a computer based online examination.
  • The main examination consists of 4 sections.
  • The total duration of the exam is 2 hours 40 minutes.
  • The medium of the exam is Hindi/ English.
  • Each section will have separate timing.
  • The candidate must attempt the questions in one section and then move to the next section. 
  • The total weightage of the exam is 200 marks.
  • The marking scheme is as follows:
  • For every Correct answer: +1 marks
  • For every Incorrect answer: -1/4th marks will be deducted.
  • Marks secured in the preliminary exam will not be considered in the mains exam.
