The Reserve Bank of India has released a notification for recruitment of RBI Assistants for its branches across India. The RBI has released 926 vacancies for RBI Assistants. The RBI Assistant exam cut off helps not only in the preparation but also gives an insight into the selection procedure of the exam.

Here are the details of the RBI Assistant exam cut off:

Date of start of registration of application: 23rd December 2019

Last date to submit completed application: 16th January 2020

Date of preliminary exam: 14th and 15th February 2020

Date of mains exam: March 2020

Eligibility criteria:

  • The candidate must be at least 20 years and not exceed 28 years as on 1st December 2019.
  • The candidate must be born between 2nd December 1991 and 1st December 1999, inclusive of both dates.
  • Age relaxation is as follows:
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • PwD: General/ EWS – 10 years; OBC – 13 years; SC/ST – 15 years and others.
  • The candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks.
  • The candidate must have a thorough knowledge of computers.

RBI Assistant exam cut off:

Cut off marks are the minimum marks that are required by a candidate to be shortlisted in the exam. The factors that determine the marks cut off are as follows:

  • Number of candidates appearing for the exam.
  • Number of vacancies available
  • Number of posts earmarked for the reserved category
  • Difficulty level of the exam and others.
  • The RBI assistant exam is conducted in 3 stages which includes the following:
  • Preliminary exam: The prelims must be cleared to proceed to the mains exam. A sectional cutoff is determined to qualify in the prelims. The prelims exam is only qualifying in nature and its marks are not counted in the mains exam.
  • Mains exam: The candidates must clear the sectional and overall cut off of marks to qualify for the merit list. The candidate should strive to maximize the overall cutoff score. The marks secured in the main exam are counted in the final merit list of selected candidates.
  • Language proficiency test: The LPT is qualifying in nature and is a regional language test that a candidate must appear for from which he/she has applied.
