NATA Exam Pattern:

The National Aptitude Test in Architecture or NATA as it popularly referred to is attempted by candidates who aspire to be architects and planners. The NATA exam is conducted by the Council of Architecture (CoA). NATA scores qualifies a candidate to pursue a 5 year B.Arch course. The NATA exam pattern helps candidates prepare for the exam in a methodical manner.

Here are the details of the NATA exam pattern:

The NATA exam is a national level entrance exam that is conducted twice a year in April and May.

NATA Exam pattern:

  • The NATA exam is conducted in both online and offline modes.
  • The exam consists of 2 sections, i.e., Part A and B.
  • The total duration of the exam is 3 hours 15 minutes/ 195 minutes.
  • The medium of the exam is English.
  • The total weightage of the exam is 200 marks.
  • Part A comprises of questions based on Drawing.
  • Part B comprises of questions based on General Aptitude and Logical Reasoning, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • There is no negative marking in the NATA exam.

To gain admission into the B.Arch course, a candidate must secure the minimum qualifying cut off as specified by CoA. It is as follows:
