NATA Exam Pattern:

The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is conducted by the Council of Architecture (CoA). The NATA Exam is an All India level entrance exam conducted to gain admission to the various architecture colleges across the country. To pursue a 5 year course in B.Arch., NATA scores are a must. The NATA exam pattern will help you assess the difficulty level of the exam and prepare for the exam in a methodical manner.

Date of start of registration of application: 1st February 2020

Last date to submit completed application: 16th March 2020

Last date for payment of fees: 20th March 2020

Date of release of admit card: 4th April 2020

Date of NATA exam: 19th April 2020

Date of declaration of result: 8th May 2020

2nd session

Date of start of registration of application: 1st February 2020

Last date to submit completed application: 4th May 2020

Last date of payment of fees: 8th May 2020

Date of release of admit card: 21st May 2020

Date of NATA exam: 31st May 2020

Date of declaration of result: 14th June 2020

Eligibility criteria:

  • The candidate must have passed class 12th from a recognized board.
  • The candidate must have secured at least 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
  • The candidate must have Physics, Chemistry and Maths as compulsory subjects.

NATA exam pattern:

  • The exam is conducted in 2 parts which consist of the Aptitude test and the Drawing test.
  • The medium of the exam is English only.  
  • The aptitude test is a computer based online examination.
  • The drawing test is a pen and paper based examination.
  • The total number of questions asked are 53.
  • The total weightage of the exam is 125 marks. The marking scheme is as follows:
  • Correct answer: +1.5 marks
  • There will be no negative marking.
  • The duration of the exam is 3 hours 15 minutes/ 195 minutes.
