Loco Pilot Exam:
The Loco Pilot exam is conducted annually by the Railway Recruitment Board. The RRB routinely holds the Assistant Loco Pilot exam to select eligible candidates for the post. The Loco Pilot exam pattern will help candidates prepare for the exam in a methodical manner.

The RRB Loco Pilot exam is conducted in 4 elaborate stages. These include the following:
- 1st stage CBT
- 2nd stage CBT
- Computer-based aptitude test
- Verification of documents
1st stage CBT loco pilot exam pattern:
- The Loco pilot exam is a computer-based online examination.
- The exam consists of multiple-choice objective questions.
- The exam consists of 4 sections, these include the following:
- Maths
- General intelligence and reasoning
- General science
- General awareness and current affairs
- The total duration of the exam is 1 hour/ 60 minutes.
- The total number of questions asked is 75.
- The total weightage of the exam is 75 marks.
- The marking scheme is as follows:
- Correct answer: +1 marks
- Incorrect answer: -1/3rd marks will be deducted

Loco Pilot 2nd stage CBT exam pattern:
- The exam is a computer based online examination.
- The exam consists of multiple choice objective questions.
- The exam consists of 2 parts A and B.
- The total duration of the exam is 2 ½ hours or 150 minutes.
- The total weightage of the exam is 175 marks.
- The marking scheme is as follows:
- Correct answer: +1 marks
- Incorrect answer: -1/3rd marks will be deducted

Loco Pilot CBAT exam pattern:
- The CBAT exam is a computer-based aptitude test.
