Combined Campuses And Colleges:
Cricket is like the blood running through the veins of many cricket-loving nations including India, West Indies, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and many others. From one dayer’s to test matches, T 20 and now T 10 format, Cricket has evolved in so many ways since its inception. Cricket crazy nations have helped immensely in the growth of the game. School cricket teams, college cricket teams, state teams and all contribute to the love of the game. Combined Campuses and Colleges or CCC is one such cricket team.
A first class cricket team created in 2007-2008, is a major player in the West Indies domestic circuit. The team was a protraction of the University of the West Indies cricket team. Since its inception the team has played first class cricket in the West Indies and abroad as well with other teams. The first matches played by the Combined Campuses and Colleges team was played in the KFC Cup in 2007. This was followed by the Carib Beer Cup in 2008 where the team made a clean sweep with its excellent cricket skills. The CCC team has been consistently performing well over the years in the many competitions.
The team at presently is being led by Omar Phillips who is the captain of the first class cricket team and Carlos Braithwaite is the captain of the List A team. The CCC team is coached by Floyd Reifer. The Combined Campuses and Colleges team is based out of Three Ws Oval at Bridgetown. The Jamaican team of Combined Universities and Campuses (CUC) has been giving CCC stiff competition.
The team in its latest adventure at the 2018-19 Regional Super Super 50 or 50, beat the Trinidad and Tobago team in the finals and won its first title and competition. The Combined Campuses and Colleges team score can be easily followed on ESPN and other sports websites.
