The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow was established in 1984 and was the 4th IIM to be founded after Calcutta, Ahmedabad, and Bangalore. IIM Lucknow aims to “be a preeminent center of excellence, generating and imparting knowledge in management and providing socially conscious and globally relevant thought leadership; improve management systems with regard to business, industry and public services through the pursuit of excellence in management education, research, consultancy, and training.” It is the only IIM to have set up a satellite campus at NOIDA for Executive Education. IIM Lucknow conducts admission on the following basis:
- Merit secured in the CAT exam by the candidate.
- The Common Admission Process (CAP) as followed by other participating IIM’s.
- CAP includes Group Discussion (GD), personal interview (PI) and Written Analytical Test (WAT).
