IIIT Hyderabad Exam Pattern:

The International Institute of Information Technology popularly referred to as IIIT is situated in Hyderabad. It is one of the eminent educational institutions for pursuing a degree in engineering and allied fields. IIIT Hyderabad conducts the Undergraduate entrance exam or UGEE for admission to its various undergraduate courses and the Post Graduate Entrance Exam or PGEE for admission to its various postgraduate programs. Here are the details of the IIIT Hyderabad exam pattern:

UGEE:

The UGEE is the 1st step towards gaining admission to various undergraduate programs followed by an interview.

 Date of release of application: 6th February 2020

Last date to submit completed application: 31st March 2020

Date of release of admit card: 13th April 2020

Date of interview: 1st week of June 2020

The programs offered under the UGEE are as follows:

The UGEE exam has 2 sections which include the following:

  • Subject Proficiency Test (SUPR)
  • Research Aptitude Test (REAP)
  • The UGEE exam is a computer-based online examination.
  • The UGEE exam consists of multiple choice objective questions.
  • The SUPR exam will be based on the syllabus of class 11th and 12th science subjects which include Physics, Chemistry, and Maths.
  • The REAP exam is based on the class 11th and 12th syllabus of Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. The REAP assesses the creative and critical thinking of a candidate.
  • The duration of the UGEE exam is as follows:
  • SUPR: 1 hour/ 60 minutes.
  • REAP: 2 hours/ 120 minutes.

PGEE:

  • The post graduate entrance exam is a computer based online exam.
  • The exam consists of multiple choice objective questions.
  • The duration of the exam is 3 hours/ 180 minutes.
  • The exam consists of 2 sections which include the following:
  • General aptitude
  • Subject paper
  • Each section is for a duration of 90 minutes each.
