DIY love wall string art

This is a lovingly easy gift to make. All you need is are some strings and some wood. Paint a piece of wood with the color that you love. Trace heart shape using a pencil and stencil the outline of the LOVE or any other word of significance. Tap thin nails along the lines of the shape and word, spacing them about a ½ inch apart. Loop a thin yarn or string from nail to nail, the way you like it to get the desired look.

Valentine crayon melts

If you want to get creative, transform your kid’s old crayons into alphabets again. All you need is some poster paper and broken crayons. Start by peeling the wrappers off the crayons. Break down the colors into smaller pieces and place them in a microwave-safe container with an inch of water. Microwave in bursts of 30 seconds. Use a spoon to pour the melted crayons into an alphabet mold. Scrape off the excess with a spatula and let cool. Pop out the letters and get creative with funky messages in alphabet molds.

Rope art

This is another cute project. Where all you need is a natural fiber rope, 1 – ½ cups warm water, 1 cup flour, 1 cup cornstarch, 1 cup craft glue, and 1 teaspoon salt.

Lay the rope on the plastic wrap so it doesn’t stick and let dry. Use light gauge wire to add stability and to form tight letter words and shapes. It takes about 24 hours to dry.
