CUCET Exam Pattern:

Central Universities Common Entrance Test also referred to as CUCET is a national level entrance exam regulated by 10 central universities. The CUCET exam is conducted once every year for granting admission to various under graduate, integrated programs, post graduate and research programs. The CUCET exam pattern varies for various programs.

  • The CUCET exam is a pen and paper based offline examination.
  • The exam consists of multiple choice objective questions(MCQ).
  • The medium of the exam is English.
  • The total duration of the exam is 2 hours or 120 minutes.
  • The marking scheme is as follows:
  • For Every Correct answer: + 1 mark
  • For Every Incorrect answer: – 0.25 marks will be deducted.

CUCET UGQP01:

  • The exam is conducted for admission to B.Sc. B.Ed., Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Zoology, Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Botany, Environmental Science, Textiles, Biomedical Sciences, Industrial Waste Management programs.
  • The total number of questions that will be asked are 100.
  • The total weightage of the exam is 100 marks.
  • The exam comprises of 2 sections, these include the following:
  • Part A: 25 MCQ’s based on English, General Knowledge, Reasoning Numerical Aptitude/Data Interpretation, Analytical Skills,General Aptitude.
  • Part B: This consists of 4 sections which are as follows:
  • Section 1: Physics
  • Section 2: Chemistry
  • Section 3: Mathematics
  • Section 4: Biology
  • The candidate must attempt questions from section 1 and 2 and must choose between section 3 and 4.
  • In case a candidate attempts sections 3 and 4 then his merit will be prepared on the basis of all.

CUCET UGQP02:

  • The exam is for candidates seeking admission to English, Economics, Psychology, Geology, Geography, International Relations, B.A. B.Ed., Retail and Logistics Management, Retail Management, Tourism Management, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Music, Beauty and Wellness, Crafts and Design programs.
  • The exam consists of 1 paper only.
  • The total number of questions that will be asked are 100.
  • The total weightage of the exam is 100 marks.
  • The questions are based on English, General Knowledge, Reasoning Numerical Aptitude/Data Interpretation, Analytical Skills,General Aptitude. 

CUCET B.Ed exam pattern:

  • The total number of questions that will be asked are 100.
  • The total weightage of the exam is 100 marks.
  • The exam consists of 2 parts. These include the following:
  • Part A: 50 MCQ’s based on English, general awareness and numerical ability
  • Part B: 50 MCQ’s based on teaching aptitude.
