CTET Exam Pattern Details You Might Want to Know About
CTET Exam Pattern:
The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education to assess the eligibility of a candidate as a teacher to classes 1st to 8th. The CTET exam pattern will help desirous candidates to study for the exam in a methodical manner.

Date of start of registration of application for CTET: 24th January 2020
Last date to submit completed application: 9th March 2020
Date of release of admit card: 3rd week of June 2020
Date of CTET exam: 5th July 2020
Application fee:

- The application fee can be paid through e-challan issued by Syndicate bank/ Canara Bank.
- The application fee can also be paid online through credit/ debit card or other net banking options.
CTET Exam pattern:
- The CTET exam comprises of paper 1 and 2.
- The exam is a pen and paper based offline examination.
- The duration of the exam is 2 ½ hours/ 150 minutes for each paper.
- The total number of questions asked are 150 for each paper.
- The exam consists of multiple choice objective questions.
- The total weightage of the exam is 150 marks each.
- The marking scheme is as follows:
- Correct answer: + 1 mark
- There is no negative marking in the CTET paper.
- The medium of the exam is English/ Hindi.
- Paper 1 consists of the following:
- Child Development and Pedagogy
- Language-I
- Language-II
- Mathematics
- Environmental Studies
- Paper 2 consists of the following:
- Child Development and Pedagogy
- Language-I
- Language-II
- Mathematics and Science or Social Studies/Social Science
