The Central Reserve Police Force was founded as the Crown Representative’s Police in the year 1939 by the British. After independence, the enactment of the CRPF act brought into existence the Central Reserve Police Force or CRPF in the year 1949. CRPF boasts of 246 battalions which includes the 208 executive Battalions, 6 Mahila Battalions, 15 RAF Battalions, 10 CoBRA Battalions, 5 Signal Battalions and 1 Special Duty Group, 1 Parliament Duty Group), 43 Group Centers, 20 Training Institutions, 3 CWS, 7 AWS, 3 SWS, 4 Composite Hospitals of 100 bed and 17 Composite Hospitals of 50 bed. Candidates who are interested in joining the Central Reserve Police Force can check the recruitment link on the website of the organization at www.crpf.gov.in . CRPF has issued a notification regarding recruitment of assistant commandants. The eligibility criteria and other details have all been specified on the link https://crpf.gov.in/recruitment.htm . The admit card for the assistant commandant exam have been released for the eligible candidates. The candidate can log in to the website and download the admit card of the written test and the GD.

CRPF has also released a notification regarding recruitment of Head Constables. There are a total of 1412 vacancies open to both male and female candidates. Here are the details of the recruitment:

Date of start of registration of application: 7th February 2020

Last date to submit completed application: 6th March 2020

Date of the written exam: 19th April 2020
