CDAC Exam Pattern:

The Center for Development of Advanced Computing or C-DAC is a premier organization under the aegis of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. The organization is responsible for research and development in the fields of Information Technology (IT), Electronics and other associated areas. CDAC conducts various postgraduate courses, admissions to which are granted through a common admission test or C-CAT. The entrance exam is conducted twice a year, i.e., June and December of every academic year. The CDAC exam pattern helps students to prepare methodically for the exam.

Here are the details of the CDAC exam pattern:

Interested candidates must register themselves for the C-CAT exam online. C-DAC conducts the exam is the month of June for the August batch and in December for the February batch.

C-DAC exam pattern:

  • Depending on the course that the candidate is opting for he will have to appear in the various sections of the CCAT exam.

  • The examination consists of 3 sections A, B and C.
  • The medium of the exam is English.
  • The exam will consist of multiple choice objective questions.
  • The total number of questions asked will be 50.
  • The maximum marks for the exam is 150 marks.
  • The marking scheme is as follows:
  • Correct answer: +3 marks
  • Incorrect answer: -1 marks
  • Questions that are not attempted: 0 marks
